Long Islanders For Educational Reform Hosts Forum Tonight

A Discussion On School Funding, Property Taxes, And What Can Be Done About Both

Long Island School district taxes. Did you expect School Boards or Politicians to do anything about them?

Long Islanders for Educational Reform (LIFER) is holding a public Questions & Answers Forum to help you get the answers to some of the toughest questions facing New Yorkers.

Monday, May 7th
At the Huntington Hilton, 598 Broad Hollow Road, Melville, NY
From 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM

Free Admission (Available Seating 500)

The following guests will speak and then answer questions from the audience:

Ray Keating, Newsday columnist, Chief SBC Economist & sought-after spokesman on economic issues;
Dr. Charles Murphy, Superintendent, Sachem School District (the only LI School District to deliver a budget without a tax increase);
Lynne Nowick, Suffolk County Legislator & Co- Chair of the County (income) Tax Reform Commission;
Roger Bogsted, Nassau County Commissioner of Consumer Affairs and Conservative Party Chairman;
E. J. McMahon, renowned education expert, Empire Center for NYS Policy, Manhattan Institute.
The Moderator will be Peter Kohler, VP of Cablevision’s Editorial Services
