TAP Into New York Government

Everything You Wanted To Know About New York Government Can Now Be Asked

Lest you think that The Community Alliance blog is the end-all of blogdom in New York, along comes TAPopedia, a "wiki" (as in "wikopedia") dedicated to news and facts on and about New York government.

Brian Keeler, who spearheads TAPopedia for The Albany Project, calls this new nascent blog "the first wiki dedicated to the New York State Government."

"At the moment," says Keeler, "the project is in the development stage, in that it’s not a resource just yet."

That’s where you come in, aficionados of The Community Alliance blog. The wiki needs contributors and data to make it sing.

We are asking you to stop by, take a little time to learn how to use the wiki, (simple when you get the hang of it) and adopt a district or issue and dig in to help make this the best research tool we, the people of New York, ever had.

Remember, knowledge is power, and with knowledge, comes transparency (and a coupon for a free latte at Dunkin Donuts).

Now is the time for every New Yorker to take a hands-on approach to the way New York government -- from the State House to Town Hall -- does business. TAPopedia is truly a great place to start.

Seymour Lachman, former NYS Senator, will on the TAPopedia blog on January 29th at 7:00 PM to discuss his book, Three Men In A Room.
